Valentine’s Day often stirs up my creative juices. This past week I’ve been thinking a bit about how accessibility is a show of love. At least, when it’s not done out of fear (e.g. lawsuits). When we take time and make the web accessible, we make space for people with disabilities.
While pondering a ballad for web accessibility, I thought I’d give Suno‘s AI Valentine’s song generation a whirl.
Generating a (love) song
Let’s just say, this AI isn’t quite ready for prime time. However, the Weird Al vibe did make me smile.
Or should I call it Weird A.I.?
I present to you… Accessible Love!
(also temporarily live on Suno’s V-Day rendering of Accessible Love)
Lyrics, sung in an acoustic, modern country-esqe style ballad in a male voice:
[Verse]
In this vast digital expanse, we found our connection
Two souls brought together by ones and zeros
Your website glowing, a beacon in the dark
Perceivable and operable, you stole my heart (oh-oh)
[Chorus]
You're my accessible love, you make my world complete
Navigating the depths of my heart, every click is so sweet
Understandable and robust, you're everything I need
My love for you, it flows endlessly
[repeat verse]
In conclusion
This was made in good fun.
But, seriously, show some love every day by making your web spaces accessible for everyone.
Period.
